Management Team
The GDNAuto management team includes professionals
with a wide range of financial industry experience:
Mike Sheridan, Founder & President, GDN
Mike Sheridan is a self-described “serial entrepreneur” and investment professional.
Prior to taking over the role of president at GDNAuto, Mike served as director of Finance
at Management Partners Leadership Committee, senior associate at Growth Management Partners,
and partner at Venature LLC.
Mike’s interest in the world of asset-backed securities stems from his experience
as a pit and desk equities, debt and derivatives trader with a variety of proprietary
trading groups: Stafford Trading in Chicago, TD Equities and Cutler Group in San Francisco.
Mike completed his undergraduate studies in Philosophy at DePauw University in Greencastle,
Indiana and earned an MBA degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.
Scott Walchek, Founder & Chairman, GDN
Scott Walchek currently is a Partner at Integrity Partners, Chairman of Global Debt
Exchange, and serves on the boards of directors of Palm Beach Capital Management (where
he is a founding partner) and Ionic Fusion, Inc., a developer of nanotechnology for
surface engineering, He is president of two media companies involved in film and music
production and serves as a director for several not-for-profit community and charitable
organizations. Scott also is a Venture Partner with the Silicon Valley office of ePlanet
Ventures.
Prior to starting Global Debt Network, Scott was founder and CEO of C2B Technologies,
an e-commerce infrastructure company acquired by Inktomi Corp. in 1998. Prior to his
success at C2B, Scott was on the founding team at Macromedia, where he headed up its
product marketing and business development efforts. In 1993, he became CEO of Sanctuary
Woods a publicly traded developer and publisher of interactive content. He is a graduate
of the University of California at San Diego.
Collin Timothy, Founder & VP of Product Development
Collin Timothy is a recent Business Administration graduate from Pepperdine University.
Collin has had numerous opportunities to work with many exciting companies, both as
outside consultant and through various internships.
He has worked in the financial sector for companies like Smith Barney, and also worked
at Internet start-ups, including Upromise. He has also had the opportunity to travel
abroad and spent two years doing humanitarian work in Brazil. He is fluent in Portuguese
and is an avid car enthusiast.
Monica Maynerick, VP of Business Development
Monica Maynerick brings more than a decade of operations and management experience as
well as a passion for economic and community development. Monica has a background in
a wide variety of industries in both the private and nonprofit sectors, most recently
as Operations Manager for ACCION USA, a nonprofit microfinance organization.
Monica holds an MBA degree from Pepperdine University and an undergraduate degree in
International Affairs with an emphasis on Latin American Studies and Spanish from the
University of Colorado at Boulder. She also received a Certificate in Nonprofit Management
from UCLA Extension.
Vanessa Towning, VP of Marketing and Corporate Development
Vanessa Towning joins GDNAuto with over six years of marketing and sales experience. Her background includes advertising sales at the Fox Station Group, where she managed national media campaigns and sponsorships for three leading auto manufacturers. She has also worked for Publicis, implementing marketing initiatives for a variety of companies.
Vanessa holds her bachelor's degree in Marketing from Southern Methodist University, Dallas TX and masters degree in Business from Pepperdine University, Malibu CA. During her graduate studies at Pepperdine, she earned 1st and 2nd place in two business plan competitions. Vanessa's passion for new ventures stems from her family; both of her parents are entrepreneurs.
